Important Requirement - Equipment Approval
New to the 26 / 27 season, for all race and recce class, equipment must be approved by a member of the Canicross Ireland Committee prior to taking part.
You will then provided with tags to place on your gear to show it has been inspected and approved. These tags stay on your gear for the duration of the season.
Please ensure your tags are placed in the correct position on your equipment. A positioning guide is at the end of this article.
At the start line, equipment will be checked. If you do not have a tag on your equipment you will not be allowed to start your race.
Equipment Approval A 2 Z
All equipment must be approved before your first race of the season.
A tag will be provided to confirm approval and must be attached to the equipment (harness, bungee, belt) before the race.
At your first event of the season, you can present your equipment to a Committee member.
Once approved you will be supplied with tags to place on your equipment.
If this is your first event of the season, you will need to show your tags when collecting your race number / chip
Returning members MAY request advanced approval on equipment by video / photo (email secretary for details).
Returning members will then be able to collect their equipment tags at their first race of the season when collecting your race number / chip.
Note - ANY NEW equipment, regardless of new or returning member, (harness, bungee, belt) must be approved and tagged prior to use at an event.
ALL New members must present equipment for inspection on the morning of their first race for inspection prior to receiving their race chip / number.
NO TAG - NO RACE.
Below is a short video which shows where you place your tags on your equipment. Please take time to watch this video and place your tag correctly on your race equipment as if it is not in the correct placement you may delayed at the start line.
